ARTIGA DE LIN
We recommend access to Baricauba forest through the village of Es Bordes, Artiga de Lin address.
Following the road, on the left, you will find a small parking for cars, a few minutes walk you will see Uelhs deth Joeu an impressive waterfall of groundwater coming from the Valley of Benasque. You will find a path with natural stairs which can be accessed, if you continue in this way, you will reach broad meadows of the Artiga de Lin, if you prefer you can do the same journey by car following the road.
This same route can be done by the village of Es bordes, through the villages of Aubert or Gausach.
In the Baricauba forests you can also find two beautiful places that you cannot miss: the Plan Batalher and La Bassa d’Oles.
SAUT DETH PISH
SAUT DETH PISH in BARRADOS VALLEY
The Saut deth Pish is an impressive waterfall located on the mountain of Barrados. The access is an asphalted road. From the roundabout deth Pont d’ Arròs (carretera Nacional N-230) there is about 12 km to its destination.
This can only be done in summer because in winter the road is often closed due to avalanche risk.
We recommend a meal or a snack in “La Borda des Joanon” which is at the 7 km Pont d’ Arrós and 5 km to Saut deth deth Pish. Open only in summer season. The food is done with produce from their own garden.
BASSA D'OLES
PLAN BATALHER and LA BASSA D’OLES
Plan Batalher and La Bassa d’Oles are ideal for a family excursion. It is very close to Vielha and Gausach, it can also be accessed by Aubert and Es Bordes a secondary road.
La Bassa d’Oles is a small lake where you can walk around with a beautiful environment. Accessed from Gausach, just before the junction of the Plan Batalher, you will find a lovely viewpoint, Eth Guardarer in Betlán, there you can enjoy the breathtaking views of the villages of Vilac, Mont, Montcorbau, Betlan and Vila. Continuing along the road, you will come to a crossroads; there can decide to go towards the Artiga de Lin or La Bassa d’Oles.
In the direction to the Artiga de Lin, you will find the Plan Batalher, there is a spot to eat and rest at, with tables and seats of stone, fountains and a mountain lodge.
